Our dedicated team of experienced volunteers are always on the ball, utilizing their unique skills and passion to move the work of our Non-Profit Organization forward. We’re always pushing ourselves to stay ahead of the curve and striving to perfect our programs. Meet some of our incredible volunteer leaders below.



Man Up at Bostrom High School

Wayne knows inner-city life through and through, and relates extremely well to the boys he is serving at Bostrom High School. Wayne is a husband and father, and is passionate to see lives changed for the better, just as his was.

Jordan is one of the best youth workers in the game, and we're grateful to have him on our team. Outside of volunteering with us, Jordan runs his own non-profit called RealTALK, also working with high school and college aged students. Learn more about RealTALK here: rltkphx.org



Man Up at Bostrom High School

Try to have a conversation about youth and young adults in the inner-city with Miguel, and see his eyes water. Love and compassion fill Miguel’s his heart. He is a father or 9, and husband. Miguel lives and serves in the community only minutes away from Bostrom High School, where he is leading our Man Up program and building healthy relationships with our boys there.



Speak Up at Cesar Chavez High School

Arienne Ford is all about serving the most vulnerable and often overlooked. Outside of volunteering with us, Arienne works full-time as a mental-health therapist. She is passionate about working with our girls, and helps lead our Speak Up girls program. Arienne brings tons of knowledge, wisdom, and love to the table.

Full of life, experience, and love, Melissa is a mentor our girls absolutely love having. The coolest thing? Melissa is an alumni from the same high school where she is currently leading our Speak-Up all girls program. She knows the South Phoenix community through and through, and understands what it takes to make a positive, life-changing impact in a young persons life. We're grateful to have Melissa working with us.

Octavious Holguin has a heart for the hurting and most vulnerable of high school students. He also has a passion for working with young athletes. Outside of volunteering with AZ Reach, Octavious works full time with FCA, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, serving coaches and athletes on multiple campuses in our city.




Juan Chavez is an Arizona native, born and raised in South Phoenix. At age 19 his life radically changed, and since then he has been on a journey to help change others lives and see his community and city restored for the better. Juan is married to Christina Chavez, together they have 3 beautiful children. Outside of AZ Reach, Juan enjoys serving at his Church, Redemption Peoria. He comes with 10+ years of youth and non-profit experience, and is currently receiving his Masters Degree in missional theology from Covenant Seminary.

Chris Powell joined Arizona Reach with the vision and drive to impact young men. Chris knows what it's like to be headed down the wrong path, and also knows the value of strong male role-models to help lead those going astray to a better path.



Business Administrator

Experienced, trustworthy, fun. These are just a few of the ways we can describe this invaluable member of our team. Christina has her BA in business accounting and helps us remain a successful non-profit from behind the scenes. She is a loving mom, wife, and great role-model for the young women we work with.



Man Up

RJ is one of the most personal and relatable mentors a young person can have. He bring 7+ years of experience and skills to the forefront in helping our organization grow and succeed. As we look to run our program in two new schools within RJ's community, he and his wife will help lead the way.

Shannon Butler has been serving youth and young adults for over 17 years (that's more than the age of the majority of students we work with)! Experience, passion, drive, and love is what makes Shannon an amazing mentor. He is a committed husband & father, and desires to see the flourishing of healthy homes and families across our city.
